Hi,
Doing some planning before release a change to a production universe upon which many reports have been built.
Have this backed up as a lcmbiar file in addition to standard backups. (cms/filestore etc).
If ever wanted to restore an earlier version of a universe, assume fine to just import the earlier lcmbiar file?
Is this the case - just want to be sure with regards cuids etc.
This a unx universe
Thanks
Hi,
CUID's is going to be same.Note down the CUID of one the universe which moved from Dev to production env. check CUID in every environment. It should be the same if you have migrated across the environments.ID will be different in the properties but CUID will be the same.
You can backup in the BIAR file and can restore. Some issues will come if some changes will happen in the latest one like added some new objects then if you will restore the backup file which is not latest then those reports will not work where new objects are added.
