DQM Substitution parameters

Hello community,

Does anyone has any information about the DQM substitution parameters (SAP Data services side)?

In the user guide only a few of them are explained.

Specially: $$DQ_SAP_Secondary_Output.

Thank you very much in advance,

I don't believe that particular parameter is documented any longer because I don't believe its used any longer.  I haven't found exactly where it was removed from the product, but there used to be more options in controlling the way the custom functions used inside of Data Services handled the output data.  The product being Data Quality Management for SAP, where the jobs and the dataflow are designed to work with the SAP tables and the version of Data Services available at the time of release.

What was found with some of the options was that they were confusing, and they did very similar things so the options were simplified, which resulted in some of the substitution parameters becoming obsolete.

Are you seeing it used in one of the current jobs?  if so where?  Its does not appear to be  included as part of a new install to a blank repository.

Hello,

In my case, I wasn't interested in that specific parameter, what I was looking for was some kind of resource where I could see in one place all the substitution parameters which are available for use and what they could be used for. DQM version I am using is 440_731 SP7 and SAP Data Services Version 14.2.5.1023.

Thanks,

Amaya

Most of what is in the SP7 version, are so that matching can be configured more easily.  A lot of them are for MDG as that can be configured more dynamically and not use the traditional Business Address Service for processing but use custom fields.  Most users don't end up changing them.

The one that are commonly configured are the ones that are documented.  the ones that are there as they are passed from the ABAP side are not as they are configured as IMG settings or other configurable items on the SAP side.  so the documentation would provide the insight as to how to configure it in the way that is expected for a SAP users.

The real question, is what problem are you trying to solve that has you looking at the Substitution variables?

You can see all the substitution parameters in the Execution options under the substitution parameters tab.

This list is exhaustive and does not give you specific to your job and transforms used within.

You can also see the substitution parameters in the Designer window through the menu option

In the substitution parameter editor you can define options specific for each system configuration.

The substitution parameters for DQM always have the default values that are defined as part of the installation. You can change them depending on your requirements.

kind regards
