Adding Third CLuster Node MS-Cluster (SAP + MSSQL)

Hi,

We are having SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7 With MS-SQL 2000, installed on MS-Cluster Windows 2003. we have to Cluster nodes one is for SAP CI and Second for MS-SQL 2000, Due to some requirements we want to add a third cluster node to our existing cluster. how can we add it there are few questions in this regards :

1. During MSSQL - 2000 Installation on MS-Cluster, there is no need to install Database on Second Node it gets installed automatically by MS-SQL itself. do i need to install MSSQL - 2000 Database on Third Node?

2. How can we install SAP CI on third node?

3. After SAP CI AND DB Installation on MS-Cluster Environment, we Just execute post pocessing for Node B from SAPINST CD, will the same procedure will work for Node C?

Hi,

I don't think SAP will support three or more nodes for MSCS so I advise you to check with SAP (officials) whether they are going to support it. You can also review the OSS note 106275.
