HI Teja

Have you created index for the infocube. In the manage screen, available for reporting symbol is visible?

Do you have aggregates created for the infocube. If so, did you fill the aggregates?

Right click on the cube and see display data to see if the records are displayed.

Do you have any selections in the query? of cx exit variables? to restrict the result.

Karthik

Hi,

First see at info cube level-->right click--> manage-->request tab.

All loaded request have reporting symbol?

is there any failures while doing compression or filling aggregates?

at Report level, have you used any selections based on date/requests?

Lets try to see cube data thru LISTCUBE.

As per your report design, lets try to see the cube data at LISTCUBE.

Lets try to regenerate your query from RSRT and try to check data .

thanks

Hi All,

Thanks for responding immediately  .This is a question asked by my friend . But after seeing the answers from your side , i have worked on this object in IDES system. i have created one info cube and loaded with some data  and built aggregates on this info cube . and later added few more records to the flat file (source is flat file) and loaded the data into info cube .but did not fill the aggregates by using roll up. Now in manage tab of the info cube for newly loaded request'request for reporting ' is not available .

so , can i conclude that , for any info cube which is if any aggregates are build on top of it , once the data is loaded to info cube it must be rolled up , then only the request of the info cube is available for reporting ?

Thanks again for all of you for quick response!!!

Thanks,

Teja

Hi Teja,

Yes ofcourse roll-up is necessary to make the data available for reporting.

If you question is answered you might close the thread.

Yes Teja

Aggregates are nothing but smaller cubes. So whenever you load data, you should roll up aggregates.

Then your data will be visible reports.

Hi Teja,

Do you have any aggregates/indexes built on top of the cube.

You can also check through RSRT in debugging mode which aggregate is being used while runtime.

Identify the aggregate and activate and fill it again.

But before that you should do a list cube on your dataprovider.

Also check for any query level restriction that might be restricting today's data .

Please check if that particular request which you loaded today is available for reporting or not.

You can check the same by going to the manage option for that infocube.

Hope that helps.
