Hi All,

Hope you are doing well.

we are migrating from SAP PI 7.11 to SAP PO 7.4 Single stack.

when we are trying to create an object in the ESR it is saying that no authorization to create object.

Error:

Insufficient authorization to create object Namespace Definition

See error logs for details

Thanks in advance.

Thanks

Hi Madhu,

Please check the parameter -com.sap.aii.ib.server.lockauth.activation -in exchangeProfile should be set to FALSE.

Also select the unrestricted profile while login into ESR using below steps

- open ESR

- select the filter button from the menu

- change usage profile

- select unrestricted

Hi Harish,

Thanks for your reply.

we have checked the parameter in the exchange profile and we didn't found that.

And we selected Unrestricted userprofile only.

we have observed that com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.usage_type has contained the value AEX.

is it created any problem here to create objects?

Can you please confirm?

Thanks

Hi Madhu,

the Value is correct for single stack system. Please check the below sap help link

List of Profile Parameters - Configuring Process Integration After Installation - SAP Library

  • epends on the value of property com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.usage_type . For PI it is by default set to XPI. For an AEX system the property value is changed to AEX by the CTC Initial Setup automatically.
  • Never change the value of property com.sap.aii.ibrep.core.usage_type manually.
  • All parameters designated with * are relevant for AEX and PI, the others only for PI.

The Problem could be the user permission. did you tried with any other user having more access?

Harish

Madhu,

check whether your user has role to edit namespaces and also in the SWCV check the below options are selected.
