Workflows - viewing a work item as an attachment!

Hello team,

Everytime the user tries to view a work item  attachment (PDF)  via an SAP document viewer in her workflow inbox , it prompts her to save the file first rather than instantly displaying it. Apparently this strange behavior has only  occurred only now.

Does anyone have insights on why this may be happening? Could this possible be an SAP issue or a browser issue? the user currently uses the chrome browser to access her inbox.

Hi,

Sounds like a local issue. What happens when they use Chrome to vie email with an attachment? Is it the same?

You might want to check security settings in chrome first.

Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your reply.

I am not sure whether she faces the same email. But I had to run a few diagnostic steps with the user.

Requested the user to perform the following diagnostic steps inorder to narrow down the issue:

The results are below:

1) Requested the user to check if the issue persists with all types of attachments other than Pdf:

The user as confirmed in the affirmative. It persists with all types of attachments.

2) Requested the user to try viewing the attachment on another browser.(Eg: IE).

The user has confirmed that attachment still prompts to be saved on all browsers, the issue still persists.

3) Requested the user to try logging into a colleagues computer to verify if the issue still persists.

The user has confirmed that attachment still prompts to be saved even on a colleagues computer..

Do you think this is an SAP issue?

Rob,

Just to add to the above, the user is trying to open the attachment via Outlook,

The email is received in Outlook, the user clicks on the link to first preview the attachment via document viewer. But the document viewer opens in chrome browser and directly prompts the user to save the document.
