Hi All,
i use the business objects plattform to schedule reports and send them to customers.
Now i have the problem that my server is running out of hard disk space as the filestore is placed on C:.
Two questions regarding this:
- how to reduce the number of history entries? (now its 20, 10 would be enough)
- is there a way how to get rid of all old reports sent to customers? I can browse manually through the filestore and delete but this takes too much time as we have more then 1000 reports in our bi system. Is there a better solution for it?
Kind Regards
Tobias
Hi,
Set the Global limits for each folder or specific reports.Right click on the folder->Limits->"Delete excess instances when there are more than N instances of an object" default 100 to 10 or 20.

Hi Amit,
i set new entries but nothing happens. How can do an adhoc cleaning of the filestore?
Kind Regards

I'm not absolutely certain this is true with 4.1, but in earlier versions limits only took effect when a schedule ran for a specific report. So, if a schedule didn't run, the limit was never applied.
You can always go to the Instance Manager and do two things:
1. Delete all failed instances.
2. Set a date range and delete all "old" instances.
You could also write a program using either the Java or .NET SDK to go through and delete old instances.
