Hierarchy Child Nodes Text

Hello Experts,

I need to load Long Text Data from ECC into BW for the Child node of a hierarchy. I have everything sorted from source (where to create the datasource and how to pull it to BW). But after bringing it in BW, where does it go ? Should I create new IO in BW for it to store the text data here? If yes, then how do I then link it to the parent node of the hierarchy? If not, then please suggest an alternative approach.

This is related to flat file characteristic load. You should change it according to your source system

hi sheen,

Text data we may load thru text data sources. so please check your info object text data source.

whether you loaded medium/long/short.

Even please check info object settings at RSD1 maintenance level and bex tab.

There is display option - as per this option text(long/short/medium) will be displayed at bex.

Lets load long text thru from your text data source and check the data at report level.

at bex and info object level, lets keep display option as long text.
