Issue in WCL7 Transaction.

Dear All,

Good Day.

I am facing an issue with transaction WCL7 in wcm. We are having 20 plants in my system and each of them are using different additional applications.in WCL7 transaction we all are getting the list of additional permits belongs to one plant instead of each individual plants.

In the attached screen shot system is showing 2-Cold Work Permit but for my plant it is radiography. Because of this we are unable to retrieve the desired reports.

Please do the needful.

Regards,

Bhanu.

Hi Bhanu,

This issue not with the WCL7.This is very simple standard report provided by SAP.This issue more relevant to your transactional data.

Depends on Type of WCM Object, system fetch data related to report E.g.Cold Work Permit or radiography etc.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your response.

Here i am trying to create permit through WCTH transaction in drop down the list is coming as 2-cold work and so on. But my plant list is not appearing.

E.g. For my plant Type-2 is Radiography but other plant 2- Cold permit.

How to resolve this.

Bhanu

Hi Bhanu,

Are you trying to see the WCM Objects based on Plant alone?

Greetings Bhanu,

I trust you have completed these configurations for the (Maintenance Planning) Plant:

SPRO > Plant Maintenance > Work Clearance Management > Master Data > Architecture

a) Assistant for Model Selection

Create "Enhanced Model" for both Plants

b) Assistant for Maintaining Additional Applications

Create the "Type of WCM Object" = '2'

c) Define Descriptions

here you define the Plant-specific Descriptions

This should enable the relevant options in the transactions, see the screenshot.

Note that the WCL7 t-code is a Plant-specific selection. You are never able to look through multiple Maintenance Planning Plants. This would be a custom requirement e.g. a SAP Query.

If it's still unclear or not solved, can you please provide the particulars of your configuration and/or the error screenshots?

Hi,

I have configured define descriptions in the way which you suggested. My case is

For X Plant- Type(WA-2) - Cold Work Permit

For Y Plant- Type(WA-2) - Radiography

While creating Application for Plant Y if i have selected Radiography permit is creating as Cold Work Permit.

Screen Shot Mentioned Below.

Can you post your settings from the "define descriptions" node? This configuration should be sufficient for you to find the relevant WCM object in the drop-down and create the right document type.

Greetings Bhanu,

I'm not sure how the system would behave if you created your WCM Object of type '2' - I think that this is merely a Description and you should be able to select '2' for Plant Y and still get a "Radiography" Permit, even if the Description only said "Cold Permit". But I may be mistaken.

I was able to make the configuration correctly, as I described above, on a system with the component version
SAP_APPL 617 0008 SAPKH61708

However, I was able to reproduce the same issue as you've had on another system with
SAP_APPL 617 0002 SAPKH61702

Therefore, perhaps there is a version difference?

I suppose you ought to raise an OSS Incident to SAP mentioning your issue and the table WCVOB, and see if they can help.

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for the info.

Issue resolved by applying notes 2081975 - WCM: Incorrect input help for different application types).
