Field properties change

Hi,

I am defining change request steps for Rule based workflow in that i want to change some field properties from standard to Not relevant but SAP says "Conflicting setting for entity XXX"

Anyone have idea why this is happening

Hi Arihant,

This is for material and you are referening to message MDG_BS_MAT_WF_CR 002?

I think the help text is very clear. You should first deactivate the reuse are check.

Diagnosis

For this combination of change request type, workflow step number, and attribute, the reuse area checks are active but the field properties are not set to Standard. As the reuse area checks also check whether a field is required, these settings are inconsistent.

Procedure

Correct the settings by deactivating the reuse area checks or by setting the field properties to Standard.

Hi Henk,

Thanks for your response..i checked it found that field properties are already set to standard i want to change it to Non relevant which SAP is not allowing to do so

Hi Arihant,

Assuming you are talking about MM data model. You can only set fields to not relevant if you set the reuse area check as not relevant for the specific Workflow step number (in the same transaction, 2 folders above in the dialog hierarchy). That is what is also mentioned in the help text.
