complex table repeated dropdown values

Hi Experts,

After upgrading to SMP 3.0 SDK10 of Service Manager 3.1,  we are facing an interesting bug of repeated dropdown values from CT. Its a region CT with each country and its regions. The countries are repeated multiple times. But we have kept Table Index on CT as country description this has to be unique.

Is there any thing changed rendering of complex table rendering currently ?

    Kevin,

This is really interesting. Are you sure it was working fine before upgrade?

Could you please execute same bapi for this CT table in SAP and see the entries.

If SAP is returning in correct format please try to debug in Java and see whats going wrong.

    Thanks

    Ajitesh

I will point out the primary index can have a duplicate if has a parent index.  But no two rows can have matching primary index with parent.

    Kevin,

This is a known issue that was working in SP09 but broke is SP10 on all the platforms.  Engineering is aware of it and is working on a fix to be released in the next patch (PL05?).  For now the option would be to go back to SP09 until a fix is available.

    Kevin,

    This is documented under:

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2238294  - Complex Table Drop Down duplicate entries in WPF, iOS and Android for SMP 3.0 SDK SP10.

    • Kevin,

I agree with Bill that you need your own branded client. You will need to have an Apple Enterprise license and you can compile your own Agentry client for a particular version. You will need this to control the update for your users.  There are multiple reports that customers who do not follow this technique will have a hard time reverting back to older versions from Apple as the app store only has the latest versions.

In Support we we get question all the time.  We always state the answer is to brand your own clients and from the different version of SMP 3.0 SDK you can control your version.  Also make sure to turn off updates from customer to download the new versions because there is a chance that newer clients are incompatible with your signed-off production release.
