SAP NetWeaver 04s download: FTP error

Hi,

when I try to donwload the SAP NetWeaver 04s sneak preview from https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads and I receive the FTP error , indicating

"We can't find "ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sdn/devkits/netweaver/abap/SAPNW2004sSneakPreviewABAP.rar""

Please help.

Hi Raja,

You mean all the BW objects( except for vthe business content) are there already in the sneak preview? Can we import the business content there as well and make it work for the Full version CRM or R/3 system?

Can we connect this with the sneak preview EP? Where can I find more documentation on these? Are the data base shared across the WEB AS, BW and EP, if you install the ABAP SNEAK PREVIEW and the EP SNEAK PREVIEW?

What data base we can use?

YES

yes you can integrate with EP. i have done it. i have both EP NW2004s installed in my laptop and i have created iviews based on NW2004s

data is stored in MAXDB

to use the new reporting features you would need J2EE engine of NW2004s and EP NW2004s .

You must have the installed both the following

a> Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04 - Full Java Edition with Web AS Java 6.40, MaxDB, and Developer Studio

NW04 SP15 27 Dec 2005

b> Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04s - Full ABAP Edition with Web Dynpro for ABAP ( I assume this is the Mini SAP ?

q1> Do they share the same Data base instance of Max DB? or seperate instance or completely different database system, How do I control this? I mean what is the preferred order of inslallation here?

Q2> What can be a good config for a laptop for running all the three( MINISAP, BW, EP ) as well as MAXDB systems together?

Q3> Does the sneak preview for the SAP Netweaver 04s contain any business module like SD, MM or anything at all?

you are right but not the latest NW04SP (still have trouble in downloading all ther files - particularly the 1.9 GB files) what i have is SP11 and NW2004s.

yes

different instances, but both uses MXDB

i have first installed Java and then ABAP and had not issues at all during installation

my config is 1.7 gig centrino, 2GB ram 100 GB hard disk

NW2004s has only technical pieces. you will not have any content,tables, etc of business modules
