Daylight savings time

Hi All,

We are in US/EASTERN time zone.We are approaching our Go-Live date. Can you please explain how the scheduled jobs will be affected during day light savings time in March and November and also the actions to be taken.We are on M33.104.

Hello,

All jobs will adjust to DST for the time zone they are requested to run in. So if you do not want your jobs to observe DST, make sure they are requested to run in a time zone that does not observe DST.

When the clock is put back at 03:00 to 02:00 all jobs will have run in the first 02:00-03:00 interval and have rescheduled according to their submit frame, so no jobs will run the second hour.

There is one side note: for all Submit Frames that have a submit frequency > 1 hour and < 1 day (eg every 2 hours, every 4 hours etc) you should set the 'preserve starttime' flag on the Submit Frame.

The opposite happens in the spring. When the clock jumps from 02:00 to 03:00 all jobs that were scheduled in this hour will kick in immediately at 03:00 and will pick up their schedule from then on.
