Dear All,

I have a custom transaction with ALV container. Now the issue is, as soon as I execute the transaction the columns including the lead selection are automatically resizing ( visible length ) continuously ( I mean increase and then decrease continuously ). This happens only when I move the mouse pointer over the container area, when I move the mouse outside the container the output display is normal.

This issue is occurring in irregular pattern, could not replicate the issue in any specific case, And once this happens, I need to restart the transaction from beginning.

Can any one share your thoughts on this ?

Regards, Ganesh.

Which rendering software/version/ALV technology/Custom-Standard are you using?

Thanks again for your attention.

Column optimization is done at program level, but in the user layout setup level I have tried with and without the optimization parameter, the issue is happening in both the cases.

Regarding SAP GUI - Issue is happening in few other systems as well. Re installation I doubt because other transactions are absolutely fine, the issue is happening with only 2 custom transactions and the occurrence of the issue is unpredictable, probably 4 times a week.

SAP Support message : Based on assumption will look few other things like setting maximum size for the container in the grid, Hold cursor position in the screen properties.. Meanwhile will try to raise SAP support message.

If you use SAP GUI for Windows, the width of columns may vary at each page if the column widths are set to "optimized" (via programming or user setup). If your problem is only with the cursor over the ALV area, then I fear you have an issue with your installation, or there is a very specific bug in SAP GUI. You should try on another computer, or install SAP GUI again. Finally, ask SAP support.
