C4C<>ECC integration : Account ID definition

Hello,

We are implementing C4C with ECC account integration with the scenario "option 2" described in section 4.3 of the quick star guide: Integration of SAP Cloud for Customer with SAP On-Premise Solutions.

This scenario blocks the replication of prospects from Cloud to ERP. The account is only replicated to ERP once the user removes the prospect flag in Cloud.

It is not clear to me wich system is defining the KUNNR.

  • In C4C there is an activity where we can manage a number range that will automaticaly assign an external ID to accounts.
In that way, C4C is the leading system for account ID definition.
I've used this scenario in my previous implentation projects.
  • In the order hand I heard that it is possible to send an account from C4C et ECC without any customer ID and let ECC use his own internal number range to define the ID.
Is that scenario supported in standard? How can C4C know the ID that has been defined by ERP and maintain the mapping table?
How do we implement this scenario (scoping/activities/...)?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Best regards,

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin

Have you read this blog on number ranges:      it might help - there are also several forum quesitons on this as well.

Here is a good one that discusses the mapping:

Perhaps we should add this topic to the quick start guide?
