C4C Studio: How to create "Thing Based Navigation Link" as opposed to OBN link?

Hi,

we're using Studio 1611 and want to add a link from an Opportunity to an Installation Point and also from Installation Point to Opportunity.

We had no problems adding a link from Installation Point to Opportunity using an OBN link.

However, we could not create the link from Opportunity to Installation Point because the "Select Operation" dropdown is empty for the Installation Point BO. See screenshot below.

We have raised this with SAP Support (OSS) and got the confirmation that this is navigation is currently not supported using OBN but planned for future releases.

Now another colleague said she had talked to a colleague working for SAP and he said that "navigating from Opportuntiy to Installation Point works using Thing Based Navigation".

We know the difference between Thing Based and Object Based Navigation. However, we have only heard about OBN links as a way to link business objects in the studio.

Does anybody know anything about how to create the mentioned thing based navigation links in the studio?

We have gotten some feedback from SAP and they are going to provide the OBN link from Installation Point to Opportunity with the 1705 release. This also answers my question that there is no such thing as a "Thing Based Navigation Link", at least not one that we could add via UI designer.
