MDM Catalog replacement

Hi Experts,

Currently we are having Materiel catalogue solution in SAP MDM with Enterprise portal as front end.

we understand that Life of MDM tool itself is short and will not be supported post 2020(?) by SAP.

So we are looking for replacement for our material-catalogue solution.

We have MDG in our landscape, is there any MDG predefined module that can be used for replacement of our solution?

or is SAP planning to implement a new module for the same or should we need togo for a complete custom development in MDG ?

any other SAP solution that we need to think of?

Experts please suggest!!

Hi Eva,

Only SAP support will be shut for a particular product, but the product would still be under use.

You can continue using MDM post 2020- but yes you shall not have support in case any issues comes up.

If you still want to think out of MDM, then you must plan to invest in other MDM tools in the market.
