Tracking of Cost

Hi

We don't want create a activity type to track the cost of a specific operation.

Is there any other way. like wise we are thing create a specific cost center for this operation and book the cost there and directly transfer to production cost center. Is there will be any problem with this approach.

Regards

John

    Hi John,

May we know the reason for not interested in creation of activity type. Having activity type created will be clear in term of specif activity performed for specific production order.

If you do not wish to create activity type, you can create separate cost center for each process and book actual costs on process cost center and further you can create a costing sheet and charge overheads to production order.

      Hi John

No..there is no such specific setting for AVR..it is just a cumulative cost run and data is taking from monthly run (CKMLCP) and calculating av cost of up to that period..example:

If you set period 1 to 3 then system will extract data from per 1 to per 3 and calculate cum cost up to per 3 (For three months' cumulative)

    Hi Joh

Yes you can create a separate CCtr and can use same existing activity type in combination with CCtr and activty

    Hi,

Standard costing will be difficult in that case.as when you run costing, system will not pick activity cost, only BOM will be the part of it.

If you load activity cost later in the period, in that case all cost will be shown in variance.
