Running CO closing activities for incorrect period

Hi all.

The CO closing activities (KKAO, KKAQ, KKS1, CO88 and VA88) were recently run for the incorrect period in our ledger (Period 11 instead of Period 10). Can you advise what impact this would have? Would this simply generate variances in Period 11, which will then be adjusted when the activities are re-run correctly at the next monthly close?

Hi Tom,

There will not be any impact for following transactions:

KKAO

KKAQ

KKS1

and for the transactions CO88 & VA88, You need to reverse settlements in case if there are any postings before you run for current period 10.

You can rerun these transactions again during period 11 which will not have any impact of previous runs.

Adding points to @santos....................

There will be no impact on the previous periods.

Any way there is an option of "Reverse" is available for those activities.

Reversal is required to run the month end for 11th period.

Action list from your end:

• Reverse the Period end activities.
• Run the Period end for the 10 th period.

Reversal process:

Example : CO88
