How to use different UOMs?

Hi all,

I have two UOMs . 1) Gallon 2) Kgs

Conversation factor is 1 Gallon = 3.785Kgs.

Stock is always in Kgs.

But sometimes I raise sales order in kgs and sometimes in Gallons.

If I raise in kgs . there is no problem.

But if I raise order in Gallons, how stock will reduce as per Gallons?

Can anybody help me on this?

Thanks & Regards,

Saikrishna.

Hi Sai,

There is 2 field in Sales order 1 is Quantity and 2nd is Qty(Inventory UoM).

If you have set Kgs as default in for sales in item master then in Quantity field of SO you have to enter Kgs and Qty(Inventory UoM) is automatically convert to Gallon,

As per your question whenever you want to raise SO in Gallons then enter quantity in "Qty(Inventory UoM)" Field and if you want to raise SO in Kgs then enter quantity in "Quantity" field.

Hope you understood. If not clear please feel free to ask.

Thanks,

It will deduct inventory as 3.875kg

UoM of inventory is always the actual UoM, other UoM will be converted to Inventroy UoM when inventroy transaction happens.
