Input controls and QaaWS

Hi experts,

I used an input control to create a dynamic filter based in one dimension in a webi document. Im wondering if it is possible to retrieve this input control as an input value in a QaaWS?

My problem is that im using this QaaWS in dashboard and i want to use this dimension as an jnput value (filter) in dashboard without showing it in the webi block.

Thanks

Regards

    Hi Mohamed,

    You can try as follows':

    1 - Drop the dimensionl in which you based your input control in a table of your report;

    2 - make this table dependant of the input control

    3 - define a Web Service by this table ( In Webi Rich Client, rigth click on the table and choose the correct option, IF I'm not wrong is define as a Web Service)

    4 - publish it and srt your dashboard to read from it

    • Hey Rogerio,

      Even if i create another table and making it dependant to the input control, i dont now if it is possible to use this input control in QaaWS. I tried to do that and link the two tables but the QaaWS cannot recognize this link.

    Hi,

    Might be you can use BIĀ  web service instead of QaaWS .

    See attached link.
