Hello all,
I am using EWM 9.1
What is batch levels at which batch can be set in EWM?
In IMG (see path below), I could find number range only at one level.
I assume it is at client level as there no indication showing at which level number range is available.
IMG - Extended warehouse management - Cross process settings - Batch management - Define number range for batch
Can you please advice?
Thanks,
Chaitanya
Hello Chaitanya,
EWM does not allow to activate the batch at plant level.
It has to be activated at client level.
Initial settings for batch are done in ERP.
We use CIF to transfer the batch to EWM.
Now again in ewm there are set of setting :
Step 1
EWM internal batch number should be defined as ERP external batch number in ewm. and vice versa in ERP system - which we do at client level.
Step 2
Then we create characteristics and classes for batches for material number after its activation.
Note: Batch number shall be unique for each product.
BR,
Olet

Hello Chaitanya,
A customer influence request to support batch management on plant level in SAP EWM has been raised recently. See https://influence.sap.com/D8883.
You might want to subscribe to the request or follow the request in order to get status updates on the request.
Best regards,
Matthias

Hi Chaitanya,
at the moment there is only Batch Management on material/client level allowed (setting in ECC).
You can find more details in SAP note 990638.
The Batch requirement flag from ECC is transferred to the global SCM product master part (not warehouse specific).
Best regards,
Matthias
