I have no big experience with SAP MM/PM therefore I would like to ask for advice or suggestions how to proceed.
Basically the requirement is to purchase equipment like vehicles using the standard purchasing process and at the end the equipment masters and assets to be created automatically. As I am aiming for automated process, I believe the process should be customized as follow:
1.Serial number customizing in order to be able to create serial numbers as soon as PR;PO or GR is created.
2.Activation of Asset/Equipment link so to create assets automatically as soon as equipment is created.
I have done the customizing. I was able to create PO where the serial numbers have been created automatically.
then i have tried to create a GR (MIGO) and I got a famous message:
Movement type 101 does not currently support serial number management
Message no. IO306
I have checked all treats mentioned this issue but all of them are so old and not applicable to me, I know there are some OSS notes bu they are for 4.6 not for 6.0. I believe I missed something related to the material I use, Can you advice if there are some dependencies or requirements regarding the material, except the SerialNR profile I assigned in General/Plant view.
