Dear Experts,

I am Using Navigational Attributes Brand and Category in Query Designer.  When I execute My query By placing Brand and Category in Rows. It was Running for more time and at the end it was showing time limit exceeded. If I Place Infoobjects Sold-to-party and division my query is fast.

When I place Navigational Attributes the report is taking long time. Kindly help me on this.

Regards,

Naveen

Dear Karthick & Hitesh,

Thanks for your inputs. I have added Brand and Category in Infocube Dimensions, And Loading data by Read master data in Transformation. Now The query performance is good.

Hi Naveen

It is always recommended to use characteristics rather than navigational attribute to improve the query performance. But in situations, we need navigational attribute like yours

You could increase the query performance by doing creating aggregates which might be helpful.

The aggregates should be created based on the navigational attributes and rollup should be done immediately once the data is loaded. Make sure the aggregates are effective and you could even change if it doesnt have more number of hits. Having an aggregate with no much hits is of no use. So build your aggregates in a useful manner.

Hope this helps

Karthik
