Source in DIP Profile

Hi Experts,

I have an issue while configuring DIP profile.

we need quotation to be created from PS ECP, while configuring DIP Profile, in source, I am not getting Planned Cost  - Line Items.

what should be done, so that I can have the option to select PLANNED COST - LINE ITEMS wise in source drop down menu.

Guidance on the same required urgently. Screen shot attached for reference.

Hi Murthy,

you should select Easy cost planning as you are using ECP. than maintain characterstics to show line items as check summarize/no summarize.

Hi Murthy,

I assume that you need plan items to be displayed in the Sales Quotation. If this is your requirement then you need configure characteristics according to it .

You are correct, Plan items needs to be displayed in Sales Quotation.

I have selected Material and Cost Element with check on Char rel, Mat Determination, and Structuring.

In source I am not getting PLANNED COSTS - LINE ITEMS.

With further discussion with customer, we are not going with ECP. hence looking for the option as mentioned above. Sorry for the wrong information given in my query.

During othe searches, I came acroosa suggestion to update the table AD01SRC in SM30. or run exit: EXIT_SAPLAD15_005.

I wonder why this is not coming in standard in drop down. Plz help.

Hi Murthy,

I think you will not get that PLANNED COSTS - LINE ITEMS.

Option is to configure the characteristics accordingly.  If can list out type of objects involved in cost planning  and how you want them to be displayed  then we can provide some info how to achieve it.

the scenario is as below.

we create project structure based on Inquiry. project structure as below.

Proj Defn

L1 WBS

     L2 WBS 

     Network

          Activity1 with Work Center and Duration details

               Material Component1 with Qty and L Itm Cat

               Material Component2 with Qty and L Itm Cat

          Activity2 with Work Center and Duration detail

          Activity3 with Work Center and Duration detail

Material Components will be around 10 nos and we will be using around 15 activities each with diff work center/cost center combination.Above I have shown sample structure.

Costing method is Network Costing. we are getting planned cost in our reports.

we need to transfer all this plan line items to quotation. Materials used in NWA are billable items and activities are to be mapped as service materials in Sales.

DIP Steps:

1. ODP1 - Profile name - Quotation Creation
2. Usage - 11 - Quotation creation and Sales Pricing and Doc Type:QT
3. Charecteristics - Cost Element with check on Char Rel, Mat Deter,

                                 Material with check on Char Rel, Mat Deter,

                                 Obj No with Char Rel

                                  Trans Currency with Char Rel, Mat Deter

                                   Unit of measure with Char Rel, Mat Deter

     4.     Source - I am not able to select - Planned Cost - Line Items.

Is my steps, correct. why I am not getting line items in planned cost.

Set for Material and Cost Elements are created and ready for further assignment.

Please suggest where did I miss in config, or what is the problem.

Hi Murthy,

Select no summarization for cost element , material and objnr.

In source select Planned costs -total records.

In material determination map  characteristics to Materials. And try this in creating Quotation.

First see that all plan costs are coming in DP81 . Then we can re iterate config according to the final requirement.

Use Plan cost - totals, it will give you what you want.

Most implementations don't write plan cost line items anyway.

Hi,

Regret for delayed response. I was able to process sales pricing using DP81. I can see my transfer amount and transfer qty as required, but the same is not getting transferred to Sales price. can you guide where is the mistake I have done.
