How to Calculate Total of Individual Cell to Overall Result.

Hi Expert's,

I have Created Bex Query For Reporting In that Created 12 Selection's i.e jan.feb.....dec for Calculating total Individual Months based on vendor's  and Calculating Total of all 12 months  And I am Calculating Avg for Total of individual vendor of all months to overall result I am Getting Wrong Result,Here I have tried with %ct,%gt and %rt all functions showing Same % Avg.In screen I have highlighted two cells first one is total of vendor for  12 months last one total of all vendors for 12 months if I am calculating %avg manually i.e((3926/10835)= 36.23) but I am getting 20.89 this one is wrong how can I get Desire result.

Regard's,

Sathish.

    Hi Satish,

if 'vendor' is the only one characteristic  in Rows, then either of these %RT (or) %GT (or) %CT should work.

when you add any free char to the rows on fly, then you will see changes in values.

Just to clarify, you didn't enable 'exception aggregation' or calculations for the last column (Average)?

    Hi Satish

I understand you have tried everything that you could and that all have suggested you here.

One thing I would like to add is to debug the average keyfigure from RSRT. If you find out what is exactly happening when you change the formula, you will understand what to do next.

In RSRT, its easy to check the keyfigure explanation once the query result is displayed. It would definitely give you some clue on what to do. There might be something very small which no one noted but the system will help you 😊

Try and let us know if it helps. Then we could fine tune things in your query

    Regards

    Karthik

    • Hi

Execute the query in RSRT and you will get the same output there. Right click on the keyfigure and click on Keyfigure explanation. It will give you detailed information on how 18793 is derived.

Then you could correct the keyfigure. First we should what is wrong to make it correct.

      Regards

      Karthik

      Hi Satish,

I asked you the same thing long time back that do you have any dynamic filters applied.

If you would have mentioned the top 10 condition we could have got to the root cause much before,

      Regards,

      Amit

    Hi,

Can you try this for your average formula?

    AVERAGE = ( TOTAL / SUMGT(TOTAL) ) %A 1

    Loed
