IE, Excel and EPM compatibility issues

Hi,

We’ve one user who is having issues with input schedules in BPC ( As soon as a value is entered and moves onto next cell, value disappears). Same input schedules works for all users except this user whose PC has difference of 2013 excel. I’m wondering if Excel 2013 is compatible with BPC 10.1.

Also, we are seeing another issue on IE browser (IE 10 on BPC 10.1) caching of BPC web admin not displaying documents properly for the 1st time (changing context to parent member shows document properly. Now, changing  back to the 1st selected context also works so document doesn't show up the very 1st time). This issue is for all users.

For these issues, I’ve found SAP note 2113022 that talks about EXCEL and IE should be on same bit levels like 32-bit or 64-bit. Is this true and if not, it may cause these issues? Any other factors might be causing these issues.

Appreciate your help.

Hi,

Here is my suggestion for the first point you mentioned: For the EPM and Excel problem, the issue may be related to Microsoft Excel 2013 security update (KB3085502). So check if it was installed in your system then refer to the following SAP note in order to find a workaround for the problem:
- 2219713 - EPM Add-In Issues after Microsoft update KB3085502

I hope you will find this helpful.

Regards,
Safa

Hello,

Which version of EPM add-in are you using?

To be sure, has your user selected 'use as an input form' in the EPM options?

Thanks,

Anthony

Is it not so that the disappearing value appaers in another Excel sheet ?

We are having the same issue. I have no idea whether it is an EPM or Excel issue.
