Hello Gurus,
I'm experiencing a problem with Near Line Storage and I need your help.
I'm using SAP BW on Hana 7.4, and I have a connection open for Near Line Storage for Sybase IQ. I checked the connection and all is working.
When I launch an NLS request it works fine for DSOs but it is not working for Infocubes. I use exactly the same data and selections for both DSO and Infocube but one works and the other doesn't.
The "visible" error is Message number RSDA228 "Selective deletion returns a different number of data records" but the real issue is that the number of archived data records is always zero.
Basically the archiving process doesn't copy/archive the records to the NLS. This error happens only for Infocubes but it works fine for DSOs.
Any ideas of why that could be?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Francesco
Hello Martin and Dhiraj,
thanks for answering.
No, the data in the cube is not compressed and it doesn't have a stock keyfigure. I have opened a SAP Incident which is currently being looked at.
I have checked SAP note 1233601, it asks to use transaction RSRV for running the "Consistency of time dimension for all InfoCubes" and the "Foreign key relationship between dimensions and SID tables for associated characteristics" reports. Both reports gave green results, so no errors were detected in the cube.
It also asks to implement note 1155265 but that is already implemented as I'm working with version 7.4.
Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Hi Francesco,
This problem is caused by a program error or data inconsistencies in the Info Provider. If this issue is not related to data inconsistency then please check SAP note "1233601".

Hi Francesco,
Just a guess... don't know if it makes a difference:
Is your Cube data you want to archive compressed or not?
Does your Cube contain stock key figures?
I would probably open an OSS note, if you did not find any related to the error msg.
BR, Martin
