Strategic Need for ERP Customer and Vendor

Hi,

We are working on the strategy/solution whether to implement ERP Customer or ERP Vendor in MDG while we have BP.

I am not sure if the approach is correct. I need your comments/experiences.

In our ECC landscape we have SAP ERP Customer, ERP Vendor. We do not have SAP Business Partner.

Now in MDG we have BP, If I implement just BP in MDG and then do a CVI in ECC, I will be able to get the Customer and Vendor based on CVI Role Category.

So why do we implement ERP Customer and Vendor separately.

Whether to create BP or customer and vendor is totally depends upon the type of business. In case if you client has multiple SAP landscape like CRM / Ariba / SRM / TM etc then its always better to work with BP instead of customer or vendor. This is one of the criteria you can consider. All these systems works with BP. Hence it will be easy to create BP through MDG and set up CVI to create a customer and vendor if ECC is using customer and vendor.
