I want to schedule a report to automatically print. The printer has been installed on the server but I do not see it when I am given the option to select a printer. Do I need to configure this in the CMC. If so, how do I do this?
Thank you!
Ron

you need to have s-userid to access support portal.
Go to CMC. Go to 'Applications' . Click Crystal Reports Configuratio. Click on 'Printer List'
Click 'Add New' button and provide a name for printer
Add a printer connection command then press enter before saving
For Windows, connection command will be: \\printserver\printername
For Linux, please use the 'lp' command: LP -d printer_name
NOTE: UNC path of printer (including printer server name) is case
sensitive on some deployments. Ensure you add the exactly same UNC path
of printer in CMC.
After you've added the printer, it will then be viewable in the drop-down list throughout BI Launchpad.
Adding the printer worked by going through the steps. It is not a network printer but attached to a local machine. I entered it as follows \\Computer name\HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 PCL 6. Attached is how it looks in the Devices and Printers on the Server and the options I am given to print from on the CMC.
