Office 2013 - EPM Report scroll wheel - Screen Refresh issue

Hi,

In the project that I am working on a user using Office 2013 reported a problem with using the scroll wheel on his mouse on an EPM report.

I have since managed to replicate his exact problem in EnvironmentShell.  This is using EPM SP23 patch 0 on .net 4 with BPC 10.1 NW SP5. The client is using BPC NW 10.1 SP07 with EPM SP20 patch 2.

This exact case appears to be linked to having a frozen area and hidden EPM column definitions.

After opening the file from the BPC server use the scroll wheel on the mouse to scroll down.  The refresh gets corrupted as above.

The report was in the Planning model.

On the rows were Entity, InterCo, Account, Product.  On the Columns are Category and Time.  I did not define any members, just set them up

Switching to another Excel workbook and back resolves the problem, though this can only be a workaround.

Further testing on a one by one report beginning on cell B12 with the column titles hidden and no freeze panes has found another similar problem.  If I use the scroll wheel to scroll down so that the row header moves off the top of the page, I can not scroll back up.  Again switching windows fixes the problem.

Adding a freeze pane results in the following after scrolling:

In this particular case the broken display could also be fixed by refreshing.  In the first case refresh did not help.

Has anyone else found similar problems?  Is so how do you fix it.

Mark

Dear Marc,

I don't suppose you have heard what the plans are for Microsoft to fix this?

Mark
