Alerting SAP PO 7.4 / Alerts sent to mail.from property

Hello Gurus,

I recently configured Java Mail Client and Alert Conumer Job and it happens to be a bit strange.(SMTP)

When I schedule the AlertConsumerJob the Alert is sent to the Parameter mail.from and not to mail.to.

So my seetings would be as in the attached file:

I would assume with this properties the Alert would be send to m.mueller@xyz.com, but with Sender eai-dev@xyz.com.

But actually it is send to eai-dev@xyz.com from Sender eai-dev@xyz.com.

Any ideas what could be the error in here?

Hello Vadim,

thank you very much, that was the note i was not finding . Sounds exactly like the problem!

Actually the system should be on SPS 12 so i will verify with my hosting provider.

I will keep this thread open until I solved it and will write an Update.

Hi Markus,

Please have a look into SAP Note 2122500 and apply patch from it. Looks very similar to symptoms described by you.
