Difference between Finite Scheduling modes--'Insert' and 'Squeeze Operations'

Hi Experts,

Can you please explain to me the difference difference between Finite Scheduling modes--'Insert' and 'Squeeze Operations' in the Planning Board. They seem to be behaving almost the same way. If I am not wrong then Squeeze operations keeps requirement date also in mind but otherwise its same ?

Hi Learner 123,

For Insert Operation, if there is already an operation where you are trying to schedule the activity, the activity will be inserted either before of after the operation.

For Squeeze Operation, if there is already an operation where you are trying to schedule the activity, the system will try to scheduled the activity in the requested date anyway, and then move the operation backwards or forwards.
