Whether there will be any impact If we change Resource in a released Process order

Hi SAP Gurus,

I want to know whether there will be any impact If we change resource (from existing to another resource) in a Process order which is already Released  and Control Recipe created. (the initial resource is copied from Recipe which we want to change to another one)

I tried in test system and I could see the Storage location of materials in material list was getting changed.

Can you please suggest whether there will be any impact when we change the resource and why Storage location is getting changed in material list.

Did you already test this change on your system? Didn't you note any impact?

On a first glance, I can tell that you will obviously face impacts on costing, scheduling and capacity leveling.

The storage location is probably changed because there is a production supply area assigned to the resource.

Thanks for your immediate reply.

1. Regarding Costing : Both Work Centers are linked to same Cost center under same controlling area.

2. Scheduling and Capacity : Same Capacity category , Other Formula and Standard available capacity is same for both.

3. Capacity leveling : Capacity is available in the new resource what we propose to change and we don't see any leveling issue.

4. Production Supply area in Basic data tab is different for both resource.

Is this check is Ok or I need to check anything more to see any impact.

There is no activity type /activity unit / formula defined for both resources. I have attached screenshot of the same.

With all these check (i.e., Scheduling, available capacity, Costing(Cost center assignment) and activity rate being same for both), whether I can conclude that changing resource will not cause any impact.

Can you please advice whether there will be any impact on PI sheet when I changed the resource (existing one to new one) in the order that is already released and Control recipe created. I am yet to print the order.
