Hi all,
I know that there are many posts discussing about Compounded objects behavious in Web Intelligence, but I haven't found any talking about how description works for those Compounded objects.
Amongst posts and articles read but not useful for my issue:
How to get rid of compounded keys on WebI report | SCN
I have a Compounded Object in a Webi report, I can easily get the not compounded key as BO already provides it. However, I need to use this Compounded Object as an Input Control, showing the description, and the problem is that values are duplicated.
For example.
Description: Key: NotComp key:
Product INT/001 001
Pack INT/002 002
Service INT/003 003
Product EXT/001 001
Box EXT/002 002
Service EXT/003 003
In my Input Control should appear:
Product
Pack
Box
Service
However, I see:
Product
Product
Pack
Box
Service
Service
Do you know how to proceed?
Thanks
Hi,
I couldn't still find anything related in any forum or blog about duplicated compounded objects texts behaviour in webi, but with some colleague help, we could solve it.
How did we solve it?
1. Create a new variable concatenating "Dimension (not compounded key) + Dimension (text)"
2. Create a second variable substrating from first variable the (not compounded key).
And done!

Hi Regina,
I'm afraid those links are not for texts, but for keys. There are lots of posts talking about how to solve key and not-compounded key, but not for texts.
Check that in my case, with the same not-compounded key, there are some duplicated texts. I haven't found any solution for my case.
Thanks
