Moving SAP BI from one PC to another one

I would like to migrate SAP BI (the entire system and landscape to a new PC).

So could you please guide me on the same.

Actually I need to move all the

1. Data Sources

2. Source System

3. Info Areas

4. Process Chains

For Example as of now I have did a setup of SAP BI in one system called System A. Which is having all the above components.

I need to re-create all the above components to System B. Its should be the exact copy of System A to System B.

What ever present in System A (Info area's, Data Sources, Source System's etc) every thing needs to be created in System B.

Because we are going to scrap the system A.

Kindly give your suggestions for doing the same.

Hi Rajesh,

The information provided by you is not clear and enough to guide you .

Are you referring to the Server or your Personal Desktop/laptop?

Why and what is the scenario to move the BI Server ?

Is it a new setup ?

Are you referring to copying the system from one to other?

If you are referring to Server this is the BASIS admin activity and more over moving the server needs lots os approvals from Business.

your question is unclear , when you say migrate, is it from one version(ex:3.x) to another (7.x) ?

entire system from one PC to another ? are you working on any IDES/demo system ?

Hi,

your basis team can help you

but if you are working on a IDES/demo system, and SAP is in separate server (NOT your PC) , then you can simply install GUI to other PC and use it in a normal way.

You really do need to provide much more information.

1. What's your o/s ?

2. What's your DB ?

3. Is this system running in a VM ?

As you are talking about a PC as opposed to a server, is this a IDES system ?

I think you'll get more meaningful help/replies if you provide at least the information requested above.

You have to follow the SAP Homogeneous system copy method, Kindly refer the SAP System copy guide.
