Maintain Dimension Members Error: StartIndex cannot be less than zero

Hi,

I am using BPC 10.0 MS version and Microsoft Excel 2013. I ran into a recent problem when I try and maintain dimension members I receive the following error: StartIndex cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: startIndex.

This has occurred in all the dimensions.

Any ideas anyone can offer to help me resolve this issue?

a similar erro is related with the second hierarchy missing, you have to add it even if not used, see please this note, 1960619 - BPC MS 10.0 Error "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of ...

If doesn't work maybe your dimension file is corrupted, rename it and export it from admin console again (this will create a new file) and retry to process it.

Thanks for your response, but i am facing this issue even in the EnvironmentShell. we have not done any changes to the EnvironmentShell.

Hi Sabareesh,

verify in the matrix here if all of your sw version and sp are fine, e.g. office 2013 works under restrictions (epm-add-in and bpc sp), if all (OS, IIS, etc) are ok and it's a new installation, reinstall BPC again, otherwise better to open an incident to SAP.
