work book taking long time to open

Dear Experts,

I have got an an issue with one for the work books it is taking 20 minutes to just open, but refreshes quite quick. size is only 1mb and only one data provider in the work book tried all the optimized settings as per attached document please help me.

Are you facing the same issue with the other Workbooks also?

Open the bex analyzer --> settings -> Select repair --> next open the work book. If any inconsistencies in the work book will be repaired.

This should resolve the issue.

Thaks It has worked, i presume the work book got corrected at some point as we are running it repair mode it has got corrected. it has worked thanks for your suggestion.

Hi Vivek,

This is already unticked (REFRESH WORKBOOK ON OPEN) still takes 10 minutes to open the work book, and if i execute query in Bex it wont take time.

Then recreate another workbook similar with what you have today then try opening it..

To Narrow down the issue could you run the Query(on which workbook is created)  and check the execution time?

Hi,

How about just running the query? How many minutes does it load?

If you wanted to load the workbook faster, just click the WORKBOOK SETTINGS and uncheck the REFRESH WORKBOOK ON OPEN..

In case the query is the problem, you will experience that "20 minutes" when you refresh your workbook..
