AUDIT_LOG got purged

Hi All,

We have enabled auditing for user SYSTEM, and this past month, we got over 30000+ entries in the view AUDIT_LOG. When I checked back this week, the view is now empty.

Is there any job in the HANA database that cleans up old audit logs?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Regards,

ANG

There's no automatic job that does this.

Where is your audit data stored currently?

Also: are you sure that you're looking at the view with the right privileges? Without AUDIT ADMIN/AUDIT OPERATOR privilege you won't see any content.

    • Well, the audit data technically can be stored in a table, a csv file or the Linux syslog facility.

That's setup via the Security -> Audit tab (or the parameters for that).

Just check it in SAP HANA Studio.
