Getting Error while Installing IDM 8.0 Run time component

Hello Experts,

I am trying to Install SAP IDM 8.0 and got below error while trying to Install SAP IDM 8.0 runtime component Install.exe

I have already installed SAP IDM core component - Database.

DataBase - MSSQL Server 2012

OS - Windows 2012

After clicking on Details, I am getting below screen

Please help me to fix this issue.

Hello Everyone,

Any suggestion to fix this issue, My installation has been stuck due to this issue. I already tried to run it in compatibility mode and got the same error.

Hello Chandan,

What version of Java are you using? Use Java 6 or 7. There are problems with 8.

if you have two versions of Java running in your machine, you can use cmd prompt and LAX option to set which java to use. This is also explained in install guide.

Hello Jaisuryan,

I was using JAVA 8 and due to this only got the error.

Now I have installed SAP JVM 6.1 and used install.exe LAX_VM c:\usr\sap\sapjvm_6\bin\java.exe as given in the installation guide and it worked fine for me.

Hi Chandan,

Hope you have fixed it.

If not, then I suppose you have missed the note mentioned in installation guide.

"If your operation system is Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2 , the .exe installation file should run in Compatibility mode for Windows 7."

right click the installer, choose properties, compatibility tab. On "Run this program in compatibility mode for", select Windows 7
