FTPS - Use X.509 certificate for client authentication

Hello All,

I am trying to create a File sender channel with FTPS option to connect to a FTPS server in PI 7.3.

I have received a ".cer" certificate file from the FTPS server administrator.

I have imported this certificate in the 'TrustedCAs" keystorage view in NWA but I cannot see the certificate in the value help for 'Keystore' and 'X.509 Certificate and Private Key' in the communication channel.

I referred to How to setup a FTPS connection in PI 7.10 and How to configure FTPS in File Adapter. but have not been able to use the certificate.

1. Can you please tell me how to use this SFTP ".cer" certificate in the communication channel? I am planning to use PGP keys for encryption/ decryption. I have already shared my public PGP key with the SFTP server administrator.

2. Is this ".cer" certificate going to be used to authenticate the PI channel on the FTPS server when picking up files?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Ashwin Bhat

    Hello Ashwin.

you should import the .x509 certificate in NWA

Then mention the same in the CC.
