SAP UI5 - Fiori LaunchPad

Hi,

I'm new to sap ui5. I try to develop a Fiori LaunchPad. For that I need NetWeaver Developer Studio. I Didn't find out any direct link. I'm struckling with very initial step.

Please help me.!

You can start by installing eclipse and required plugins in that to develop a sapui5 application.

I moved this Discussion to SAP Fiori since it did not look like the Original Poster (OP) was clear on what they wanted to do or how to go about it.  It may be that it should be moved back to SAPUI5 DC, but until we hear back from the OP, I am going to leave it here.

Hi San,

Step 1: Install the NWDS from the service.sap.com from

https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/nw/731/

step 2: Goto Help >> Install new software and install the SAP UI5 plug ins. You can google it and find the link.

Step 3: Once Installation is completed, You will be able to find the UI5 projects. Here you can develop the UI5 projects.

If you need to develop the SAP Fiori Extension project using the standard apps extension. You need to Install the Sap Tool Kit plug in (Ref: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-50114).

Hope using this you can start the developments.

Are you looking for to execute launchpad ? Or build a custom Launchpad from scratch.

Hi tajas,

I'm looking  to build as well execute a custom launchpad.

I have developed my app by using initial installation . i.e., i have installed eclipse, JDK, and SAP UI5 plugin.

But to build launchpad, whether I have to install any specific software or else eclipse is enough?

I don't know very initial point to start launchpad. I have read some article , but there they only explain what is launchpad and so. But I didn't get any specific answer for my question.!

What is the issue in activating ushell addon and run fiori launchpad scenario.

sicf -> sap/bc/ui5_ui5//ui2/ushell (activate it)

and run this url : add your internal host name.

/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html

Since you are working with the Fiori Launchpad, Discussion successfully moved from SAPUI5 Developer Center to SAP Fiori.  Not sure what you are trying to accomplish and I would strongly urge you to search thoroughly before asking broad general questions.
