Hi,
My environment : SAP BPC NW SP 17, Excel 2013
I encounter the following issue : i create a simple template with an evdre function.
Then, after refreshing the data, i save it on the bpc server as, say "test.xlt" file, without any lock/protection option.
Then, i quit bpc excel and log on again : when i open the dynamic template "test.xlt" file
and i want to modify some cells, it shows a message like : "cells could not be modified because of protected sheet..."
Do you know how to workaround the issue or what is the problem ?
Thanks for your feedback.
BR,
Steve.
Hi,
Just to say i find out a workaround even if it is not pratical, you have to :
- click on the worldmap sheet OR
- open a new workbook OR
- add a new sheet on this workbook.
I have created a sap ticket but still hope someone could give a better solution.

Hi Vadim,
Thanks for your quick reply.
In fact, nothing very special about that for it is very basic : otherwise, in my production environment (SAP BPC SP05 and Excel 2010), i do NOT encounter this issue.
So it seems like it is related to my acceptance environment (SAP BPC SP 17 and Excel 2013) : BUT if i add a sheet in the template or add a new workbook after the error message then i am able to modify the template again !
So no password or anything else : seems like there is a temporary LOCK when opening a template containing an EVDRE.
