Impact of change of field lable of data element

Hi Guys,

We are going to change the filed label of one standard Data element using  Goto->Text enhancments -> Keywords -> change.

Is there any impact of this change which needs to be checked?

    Could you please provide more details about the requirement like which data element you want to modify and whats the reason for changing it....so that people can analyse and provide options to meet the requirement.  Hope you got my point.

Hi Surendra,

The data element is KATR10 data element to be specific.My concern was in general; whether data element field label change causes any other impact other than the changed description reflecting in tables which is using that data element.

Hi RK,

    Yes, there won't be any impact but the only concern is that if it was used in many places and users are familiar with  existing description and the new text may create some confusion. 

Specified field is related to customer master, so to avoid issues just do where used list (related screens) to know the usage of this field and then you can proceed.

the only impact will be the change in the label of fields which are referring <DATAELEMENT> which you are enhancing.

Hello Ritesh,

It will change the Field Label of all the fields and variables which will be using this Data Element. To find the impact of it you can check the where used list for that Data Element.
