Error occurred while trying to start SAP HANA lifecycle manager. Check log file for details

Dear Experts,

I am struck with error "Error occurred while trying to start SAP HANA lifecycle manager. Check log file for details" during HANA Upgrade.

I tried to follow the steps mentioned in SAP note: 1896320. As per this note, I haven't found any processes running relating to HLM.

In order to initiate the HLM processes again, i tried to restart the SAP Host Agent as root user. But, I get the error "[ERROR] /usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec pf=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile exit with status 255" (see screenshot in attachment)

Any ideas, please?

Thanks & best regards,

Sreenu

What are you using as hdblcm ? ( gui or commandline version ) .

Whate are you trying to achieve with the hdblcm ?

Thanks and best regards,

Hello Steve,

I trying to upgrade HANA Database from 1.00.097.01 to 1.00.102.01 (latest) using HANA Lifecycle Manager URL:

https://hostname/lmsl/HDBLCM/SID/index.html

Any ideas, please?

Best regards,

O.K.

Have you tried to do the same from the commandline, using hdblcm ?

Hi Steve,

HANA upgrade was completed successfully from commandline using hdblcm.

But, I don't understand, why the HLCM URL still not working?

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Sreenu
