Getting exception message while approving leave request in Approve leave requests (Version 2)

Hi Experts,

Getting exception message while approving leave request in Approve leave requests (Version 2) & Available balance is also showing wrong as it is showing total leaves rather it should show Available balance= Total leaves-consumed leave. I mean Available balance is different to entitlement. In below mentioned screen-shot, Available balance 26 while it should be 24 actually 26 is total leave.

There is no error in /iwfnd/error_log or no dump in ST22.

Issue resolved after implementing SAP note: 2220587: Approving of a leave request results in a runtime error.

Please suggest.Getting following error in /iwfnd/maint_service during execution of following service http://<host>:<port>/sap/opu/odata/sap/HCM_LEAVE_REQ_APPROVE_SRV/LeaveRequestSet

Result is :

The following error text was processed in system SID : Access using a &#39;ZERO&#39; object reference is not possible.The error occurred on the application server ECCDEV. The termination type was: RABAX_STATE.If the termination type is RABAX_STATE, you will find more information on the cause of termination in system SID in transaction ST22. If the termination type is ABORT_MESSAGE_STATE, you will find more information on the cause of termination on the application server ECCDEV in transaction SM21. If the termination type is ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE, you can search for further information in the trace file for the work process in transaction ST11 on the application server ECCDEV. You may also need to analyze the trace files of other work processes. If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system adminmistrator. </message></error>

HI Shakti;

For the another id are you testing odata service from gateway client or the application itself.

When you are running the application check the network logs in the network tab and there check the odata service call.

Hi Sarbjeet,

My landscape is like
DEV100 doesn't contain master data (Modifiable)

DEV120 contains master data (non-modifiable)

Now for /iwfnd/maint_service I have to check in DEV100

But for application I have to check in DEV120

When I check in /iwfnd/maint_service in DEV100 is show that HTTP/500/E/Internal Server Error

When I check in application with 2 users one give HTTP/500/E/Internal Server Error and even its ItemCountSet is showing error which it has pending requests. when I click on app it calls

http://<host>:<port>/sap/opu/odata/sap/HCM_LEAVE_REQ_APPROVE_SRV/LeaveRequestSet

result is HTTP/500/E/Internal Server Error

whit with another user every thing is fine but while approval it throws exception message that was uploaded above.

Please suggest I am very confused.

Check the odata service call

http://<host>:<port>/sap/opu/odata/sap/HCM_LEAVE_REQ_APPROVE_SRV/LeaveRequestSet

to find out the value which is fetched from backend.

then try to debug and find out from where this value 26 is coming.

and for the error, is it happening for this one request or for everything.

Did you try in any other test user id.

I have tried with one user and all type of request and the output is same. I'll try to check with another user id. Please see the screen shot of OData responce and guide. Its unfortunate to inform you that I am unable to debug. Kindly suggest.
