Activating Fund Management

Hi Experts;

       At the time of activating BC set on the SCPR20, I've received such error message while activating the Fund Managements components process:

You cannot activate BC Sets in production system. See long text

Message no. SCPR229

You tried to activate BC Sets in a system with at least one production client. This is not allowed. You can only activate Business Configuration Sets in systems with no production client.

System Response

The procedure was cancelled. No data was written into customizing tables.

Activate the BC Set in a test system.

But amazingly when I checked the CLIENT's status on SCC4 I found the Client role is set for ((Test)) NOT PRODUCTION as mentioned in the error.

So may can someone kindly advice or give clear explanation and how to solve that issue.

Thanks in advance;

Kind regards;

Ahmad Mahmud;

    BC Sets are repository relevant. The changes have impacts to all clients in the system.

    Check all clients with SCC4 or display table T000 directly.

    Thanks Yahui Liu and Michael Kozlowski, you are right.

    I found a client on the system is set for PRODUCTION.

    So I have a very important question regarding that:

    What is the impact of changing a client on the QAS from PRODUCTION to TEST?

    Has it any technical or functional implications or nothing bad can happen from changing?

    Kindly advice.

    Best regards;

      Technically speaking, the setting as production system means more strict data control and protection to avoid any accidental operation.

      Normally, you will not set the client as production, if it's not the real production system, unless it's specifically designed as this to simulate the production environment.
