Hi Experts - when I am entering the mobile number for the contact person its is disappearing, don't know what's happening as this is standard we haven't done any enhancement on it.
This contact person is associated to a STP and there address and other information is well maintained.
Any advise is highly appreciated and points will be rewarded.

did you check in Back end if you are having phone number in tables and GUI?
I remember there is particular pop up where you have to maintain the Phone number of contact person.Only then it will consider for you displaying in web UI ( actually different field otherwords)
1. Open a Sold to party BP in BP transaction and then go the the contact person or create a one
maintain a phone number in next pop ups.

Is your issue is resolve?
Did you check the relevant tables after updating the contact number (i.e BUT020) ?
Are there any errors while updating the contact number ?
Are you updating contact number in "communication " block ?
