BPC 10.0 MS Admin client not opening

Hi gurus,

We are using SAP BPC 10.0.16.0 and after I installed the BPC admin client on a few of the users, I am getting two different errors. On one user it is not opening at all. On the other user it is showing

On one other user it is showing

"exception error has occurred; check the client log file, log ID"

after I open the admin client.

on checking the client log file I saw this

DetailMsg  : {GetLateBindedObj: Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: type(Assembly: OSoftWebFolder.dll, Object: OSoft.Consumers.Common.FileAccess50.CommonFileAccess)(Assembly: OSoftWebFolder.dll, Object: OSoft.Consumers.Common.FileAccess50.CommonFileAccess)}

What could be the reason for this?

Regards,

David

Hi Guys,

Solved it finally.

Our server was updated from 10.0.5.0 to 10.0.16.0 recently.

The admin client was on 10.0.5.0 and was connecting to 10.0.16.0 server when we tested it.

Recently there were some IT issues and 10.0.5.0 admin client could connect to 10.0.16.0 only with the admin account and nothing else.

I uninstalled 10.0.5.0 and installed 10.0.16.0, but it didn't work for some reason. After 4-5 days of struggle, I installed 10.0.5.0 and then updated it to 10.0.16.0 and it started working.

Regards,

David

Anyone know a way to fix this?

Could the security settings on the user systems be causing the issue?

Hi David,

please verify here that all your related sw are according with your bpc version and sp (IIS, IE, etc.)

If ok do a client diagnostic on the PC that has this error, verify that the OSoftWebFolder.dll is present and registered.

Hi David,

That looks very odd.

What OS and .net version are they using?

Check the install guide as well for all pre-reqs.
