C4C internal pricing with tax

Hi Expert,

I read that tax determination is not supported by C4C.

However, i have a simple requirement of adding a tax (eg, GST) as a line item for all the products in the in the Sales Quotes, automatically.

Is there any workaround?

Internal Pricing only supports net pricing. Tax calculation can be quite complex based on lots of parameters. Therefore external pricing would be the best choice to determine taxes from an onPrem system. Now, since you are not connected to an onPrem system, there might be a dirty workaround to use price element "Surcharge (%)". That element can be renamed in fine-tuning activity "Configure Price Strategy" to GST tax and would be part of the sales quote output form.

To add the price element to your scope choose business configuration element "General Business Data" -> "Product and Service Pricing"  -> "Sales Price Specifications” and tick question that refers to Surcharges.

Via PDI logic or master data (if view Surcharges is added to the key users business role), you could set the price element automatically. Surely quote print form needs to be adapted since it refers to net pricing. Also note that once other price elements become relevant, such as discounts and real surcharges the gross price calculation will likely not work!

    Regards, Günter

Tax determination is supported via ERP SD integration. When get "price" from ERP for the Work Ticket Items, Sales Quote, Sales Order, and Opportunity, it will do a real-time call to ERP (basically does a SD order simulate), and return all of the conditions including the tax (based on the ship-to of the order).

    • Hi Rei,

Via Action "Request Pricing" in the Opportunity we do an order simulation, but only add the final calculated net price. No other condtions are derived from ERP to the Opportunity item.
